In December 2007 Basildon and Essex RCC merged to become the ‘Essex RCC’. It was agreed that by doing this it would benefit both residents and Swan as the same information was discussed at both meetings. The experience and knowledge of the long term members from the two separate RCC’s is essential in helping the new committee be successful. This also gives the opportunity for Members from all Districts to have their say about their own areas. Swan now has two sustainable regional committees which cover London and Essex.
