Lone parent not!

clipartOne reason for getting Income Support is being a lone parent with at least one child under a certain age. As soon as there are no children under this age, then Jobseekers Allowance has to be claimed instead - unless there is another reason for getting Income Support.

  • If you have a child turning 16 this September, your Benefits may be affected
  • If your child is in full time non advance education or in receipt of benefits then you must inform the benefit office or you may end up with an overpayment/underpayment

Alternatively you can visit your local Swan office or call us on 0300 303 2500 and our welfare Benefits Team will assist you further.

And Finally.............
