Mark, 47, from Chadwell Heath in London is our Community Web Developer. “I run all of our community websites, but web4residents.org is the main one. It is basically an online version of The Communicator. I am a resident myself and I try to make sure web4residents. org is run from a resident’s point of view. “It’s a great website. It’s got lots of useful links, local event information and all The Communicator articles that we’ve ever done. We’ve added new forms for reporting Anti- Social Behaviour, the new customer care feedback form and links to our new tenant portal (so you can check your rent and report repairs online). “I recently added a new Google-maps page, so it’s easier to find information about where you live, including block surgeries and estate inspections. I write articles for The Communicator that I think others would like to see and started attending the Editorial Panel meetings to improve the connection between The Communicator and web4residents.org “We are looking at other ways to improve how we communicate with our residents. This was why we got onto Facebook as we know this appeals to a different group of people. “I work from home as I have quite a few health issues. Swan have provided equipment that helps me, like an ergonomic keyboard and mouse. I also have very nice neighbours so it all works out well for me and helps me think from a resident's point of view. I see myself as a resident first, I just happen to work for Swan. “When I’m not working I try and get out as much as I can, either in my garden, walking my dog, or fishing. If I’m not up to that (or the weather is too nasty) I resort to my other passion – painting.”
