Tony’s leather goods are of high quality Tony Fuller, 53, from Basildon doesn’t let his learning disability curb his creative talents. He has a skilled hand and can create detailed items out of leather.

“I was walking on the beach while on holiday when I found a tiny leather flip-flop. I became interested in how it was made so I bought a small piece of leather and started to copy the flip-flop! Since that holiday, I have made many flip-flop key-rings. I have also learnt how to make other things too, like sandals, boxing gloves, hats and leather pouches. I have even made replacement watchstraps using recycled buckles.”

Tony’s leather goods are of high quality and are enjoyed by others. He has given them to friends and family as gifts and even sold them to workmates.

He has been receiving our support for about six months to attend a literacy course and to help him prepare for a motorcycle theory test.

Everyday living is difficult sometimes, so we also helped Tony apply for Disability Living Allowance and a bus pass to help him get around
