The usual bills such as groceries, gas and electricity are often more expensive at this time of year. Whilst we do hope you have great 2010, please make sure you pay your rent over the coming months. If you fail to pay your rent you are putting your home at risk. The rent you pay provides services to other residents, like repairs, maintenance, estate management or tackling anti-social behaviour. If you are struggling to pay your rent or are facing financial difficulties please do not ignore the problem. Contact your Housing Officer or the Welfare Benefits Officer on 0300 303 2500 to discuss your concerns and receive advice regarding what benefits you are entitled to and how to go about claiming them. For further information or assistance with your Housing Benefit backdate claim please contact the Welfare Benefit Officers or your Housing Officer on 0845 612 4700
