 Focus groups are arranged to cover individual housing topics, in order to gather feedback on our current performance, and suggestions on how we can improve our services to our residents.What is a focus group?Focus groups are one-off discussion meetings involving people selected from different areas or backgrounds and have a common interest with the subject being discussed. In order to be able to engage with each member of the group and receive in depth direct responses and comments it is important that the group is kept small in number ( 6 – 12 participants) and that they each have not previously met before the session. Swan's Community Investment Team are commissioned to arrange and facilitate focus groups by other Swan departments. The information gathered is then collated and a report sent to the commissioning department and focus group participants. Participants are drawn from a database of residents who have expressed interest in taking part in focus groups or service reviews.
