You’ve got a group of residents who help decide how to make your newsletter better You’ve got a group of residents who help decide how to make your newsletter better. They tell us the sort of things you, our residents, would like to see. After only our second meeting here’s what they’ve told us they want to see - and we’ve either done it, or it’ll be in the next edition!

  • A resident article on the front page - it’s your magazine, so it should be about you!
  • Editor’s corner - it’s nice and personal
  • Everyday life articles - hate crime, domestic abuse, heart attacks, strokes. It’s good to talk about these things
  • Home contents insurance - keep promoting this - it’s so important
  • Recycling/energy saving - really popular items.
  • Save money and the environment - result!
  • Dates for the diary - every edition find out what events are coming up
  • Resident story - who they are and what’s changed for them
  • Healthy eating/exercise - nice little healthy tips
  • Getting involved in what we do - how to get involved and who to contact
  • Who’s my housing officer? - you can find out on our website
  • Letters corner
  • Cut-out contact page - stick it on your fridge for the useful numbers when you need it
It is great to get involved. After just a few meetings there are 12 changes already - we are being listened to. If you want to make a difference like we have, make a call

Probably, the cheapest contents insurance around

my Home logoAt just 86p a week and no excess to pay - this contents insurance is a bargain! It's made just for social housing residents and recommended by the National Housing Federation, ‘MYHome Contents Insurance Scheme’.

Swan do not insure your furniture or personal possessions - so if you have a theft, fire or flood, we will not replacement your damaged items.
