Swan understands it is vital to build homes to contribute to the area’s pressing housing needs. "We have a track record of successful regeneration schemes in Tower Hamlets and are looking forward to a redeveloped Robin Hood Gardens that we can all be proud of. Plans include replacement of the existing Robin Hood Gardens estate and regenerating the wider area. Altogether there will be over 1,600 new homes. There will be an equal mix of affordable and private homes for sale to help to create a strong and vibrant community.” Mark Thompson, Deputy Chief Executive of Swan Housing We will be working with local residents to provide public open spaces, retail and community facilities along with an improved school that will meet their needs. There will also be better access to neighbouring areas such as East India Dock and the Dockland Riverside.
