Following on with the football theme, Swan Housing is organising an ‘Inter Estate Football 5-aside Tournament’ for young people between the ages 8-16 years across Basildon area.

This will take place on Saturday 22nd October 2011 at Markhams Chase field from 11am to 3pm with over 40 young people from the estates of Craylands, Five Links, Churchview and Noak Bridge taking part.

West Ham United Football Club officials will be on hand to officiate the tournament and present medals/trophies to the winners. The idea of this event is to promote interaction between young people and to develop their football talent.

Information for the tournament:

Your child will need a t-shirt, shorts, shin pads and suitable trainers/ football boots; and will need to bring a drink (minimum 1 sport bottle) not a fizzy drink as this can cause dehydration.

Each parent will be responsible for taking their own child to the venue and collecting them at the end of the tournament.
