Seven young people from our Youth Forum took a trip around the Craylands regeneration site Seven young people from our Youth Forum took a trip around the Craylands regeneration site.

The Youth Forum allows young people to discuss the type of activities they would like to see and issues they face living in the area. The £250 million regeneration of the Craylands Estate in Basildon will take over 10 years to finish. The Estate will be called Beechwood Village when it is completed.

As part of the visit they were given a guided tour around the building site and saw how some of the machines work, like the cranes. During lunch they asked one Director from Higgins (the builders) questions about the regeneration.

Next trip for the Youth Forum will be to a fire station and they can’t wait to go!

If you’re 13 - 19, The Youth Forum, takes place every Monday from 7.15pm to 8.15pm at the Craylands Consultation Shop. Come and visit us if you’d like to take part.
