Take the steps to sort out your dispute

Mediation is where an independent person helps if you are in dispute or conflict with a neighbour. The Mediator will not take sides and does not judge anybody. The service is free of charge.

Mediation helps to sort out any dispute, conflict or misunderstanding. They do it in a safe, confidential, non-confrontational and non-judgemental way. The aim is to work out a way forward that best serves the interests of both of you.

You do not have to meet or sit with your neighbour as the Mediator can see you both separately.

A trained Mediator can see you in the comfort of your home or in a neutral place. They will go through the issues you have with your neighbour and help you come to an agreement on the way forward.

Does mediation work?

The majority of neighbour disputes are resolved successfully this way, helping neighbours to live more peaceful and stress-free lives. It also helps both parties understand each others’ point-of-view better.
