Football helps to tackle community divides

Over forty youngsters from four of Tower Hamlet’s most deprived estates came together crossing community divides, to take part in a five-a-side football tournament at Swan Housing Association’s Crossways estate in Bromley by Bow.

The tournament, organised by Swan Housing, Streets of Growth and Countryside Properties was organised to promote good community relations.

Abdullah Hossain, Swan Community Development officer said: "It was great to see so many youngsters from the local community come together for a very enjoyable day. We look forward to organising many more of these type of events in our new community centre and purpose-built ball court once its completed."
