Cygnet wins award for Community ServicesThe Awards are open to small, medium and large companies who have shown a commitment to working with residents to improve community spirit, understanding and services.

Cygnet entered the awards detailing how their client driven service aims to enable those with support needs to live as part of their community rather than in isolation.  Cygnet also produce a regular celebrating diversity feature in this newsletter aimed at making the community more aware of the value and individuality of its members. Cygnets’ aim has always been to provide a service where physical, social and healthcare needs are seen as elements of a clients life not defining characteristics of who they are. Cygnet is proud to provide the support needed for clients to enjoy living to their full potential within their community.

Tracy Ellis, the Supported Housing Manager feels that the importance of awards such as this is not just the kudos it provides for the Association or the impressive addition it makes to the reception area wall. “These awards are vitally important because they publicly acknowledge to our tenants and clients that they are important as valued members of the community and society. It is also a lovely way to show thanks to our staff team for their work in an area that is often challenging. The difference our service makes to peoples lives should be acknowledged and publicised to every community to encourage them to look beyond a persons "client group" to the person inside.”
